Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RetroScroll Arcade (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our app. By using the app, you agree to the practices described below.

01Information We Collect

When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and the display name you choose. These are used to identify you on the in-app leaderboard and to personalise your experience.

As you play, your game scores are submitted to the global leaderboard alongside your player name. No gameplay is recorded — only the numeric score and the game title.

Account IDs and persistent guest player IDs are transmitted to our leaderboard service to associate scores with the correct player. These identifiers are used for leaderboard functionality, not for advertising.

The app no longer sends inactivity-reminder notifications or collects play-session timestamps for that feature.

02Data Stored On Your Device

Your high scores, game settings, sound preferences, and theme choice are saved locally on your device using browser storage. Game settings, sound preferences, and theme choice stay on your device; scores and player identifiers are also transmitted for the online leaderboard.

You can reset all locally stored scores and preferences at any time from the in-app Settings menu.

03How We Use Your Information

Your email and name are used for account identification and leaderboard display. Your scores are used to rank you against other players on the public leaderboard, and account or guest player IDs associate those scores with the correct player.

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, sell data to third parties, or share your information for marketing purposes.

04Third-Party Services

RetroScroll Arcade is ad-free. We do not embed advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or behavioural profiling tools.

Authentication is handled by the platform provider (Base44) and, if you choose Google Sign-In, by Google. These providers process your sign-in credentials according to their own privacy policies.

05Data Retention & Deletion

Your leaderboard scores remain visible until you delete your account. When you delete your account through the in-app Settings menu, your account data is removed.

Locally stored data (high scores, settings) can be cleared at any time from Settings, or by clearing your browser/app storage.

06Children's Privacy

The games in RetroScroll Arcade are simple, skill-based arcade games with no mature content. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is needed for account creation and leaderboard participation.

If you believe a child has provided personal data without parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

07Security

Account credentials are managed by the platform authentication system and are not stored in plain text. All data transmitted between your device and our servers — including scores, account details, and player identifiers — is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

08Changes To This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be available at this same URL, and the "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the change.

Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

09Contact Us
